This was demonstration was preformed at the Armed Forces Journal Shoot in 2003. The weapon is a MK43 Mod 1 Machine Gun produced by U.S. Ordnance (www.usord.com) this is a standard factory weapon no modifications have been made. The evaluator is a CWO in the U.S. Navy. The man next to his is a STS Representative.
850 rounds of linked ammunition were fired through this weapon non-stop to prove the reliability of the M60 Series weapon (see Battle Proven). This test should not be preformed without proper testing, training and determination of several safety factors.
